Open call for officials
8th Norwegian National Session in Bergen 2010
EYPNAA (the European Youth Parliament Norway Alumni Association) proudly and gladly announce the official call for officials to the 8th Norwegian National Selection Conference in Bergen! The session will take place from 15th to 17th September.
Officials are expected to arrive on the 14th September before 14:00. The Tuesday afternoon and evening will be spent on extensive alumni teambuilding and training.
We are looking for:
8 international chairs
8 Norwegian chairs
2 editors (preferable one international and one Norwegian)
1-2 international jury members
8 organisers
7 journalists (both Norwegians and internationals)
24 Norwegian school delegations and one German delegation will participate and about 100 delegates will attend the session. The session will gather about 165 people for 3 inspiring and challenging days in the city of Bergen.
We will select two schools going to the International session in Lviv autumn 2010 and two schools going to Athens spring 2011. We will also select schools to forums and regional sessions.
The committees will be chaired by two chairs, one Norwegian and one International. The aim is to give the less experienced chairs a possibility to gather more experience and learn more about chairing with help from an experienced chair. By this we hope we will have a balanced chairs team where everyone can learn something new and newcomers get a chance to become more experienced in the way of chairing. And to give more experienced chairs a challenge and opportunity to develop their chairing style furthermore.
There is no participation fee for officials!
Accommodation for the session is Montana Youth Hostel Bergen. Committee Work will be in Olsvikåsen upper secondary school and General Assembly in the VilVite-Center. Further information is to be found at www.eyp.no
Please enclose in your application your EYP CV where you include a list of sessions, position held and former chair/ editor/ president and a short statement of motivation that should not exceed one page. Please send your application to applications@eyp.no.

Selection procedure: The selection panel will consist of members of the EYPNAA Board (the alumni president, the head organiser of the session and one or two other members of the Board).
We would like to ensure a reasonable balance in terms of experience, gender, nationality and diversity. We will base our decisions on your application, motivation and ability and potential to be a chair/ journo/ organiser/ editor/jury member. We will aim on a balanced and diversified officials’ team!
